There is a slew of what the media is calling “international travelers” spreading measles across America. But who is taking the blame? The non-vaccinated of course!
International Travelers are Spreading Measles, Somewhat:
With a little over 300 measles cases diagnosed in 2019, it is hardly much cause for freaking out, yet that won;t stop the fear based news from blaming the non-vaccinated for the spread. But, seriously they have very little to do with it.
Despite the fact that those being diagnosed with measles also include the vaccinated, as well as the fact that those infected were infected by a string of “international travelers”, its the non-vaccinated individuals taking the blame.
Here are a few of the stories:
- International Traveler Spreads Measles in Rockland County, NY
- Infected Traveler spreads Measles to LAX
- International Traveler spreads Measles to Newark, NJ
- Israeli Traveler Spreads Measles in Michigan
- International Traveler Spreads Measles in Santa Clara
- International Traveler Spreads Measles in Washington state
- Child Travels Internationally and Spreads Measles in Arizona
The list goes on and on. Some of these international travelers appear to be from overseas, while others traveled from the US and picked up measles overseas.
Whether or not most of the people being infected were vaccinated or not is not known at this time. Based on a quote from the Michigan Department of Health provided to MLive.com “the majority of people who got measles were not vaccinated.”
Which of course means that some of the infected were vaccinated, at least in Michigan. Despite the fact that vaccinations do not always work, and their abundance of side effects, there has been a major push to have all minors vaccinated, and these incidents are spurring this on quickly.
Just After FDA Commissioner Suggests Federal Government may Force Vaccines
Earlier in the month, the director of the FDA, who has now resigned said the federal government may need to step in and force vaccinations on minors. This statement came in response to a so called measles outbreak in Washington state.
Counties Ban “Unvaccinated Minors” from Public Spaces
Even worse, some counties are publicly shaming the non-vaccinated.
How?
Well this is crazy, but in Rockland County for instance, minors that aren’t up to date with measles vaccines are banned from public spaces. Yes, that’s right. Effective Wednesday at midnight, minors who are non-vaccinated will be banned from public spaces for 30 days. Of course this will be difficult to enforce, but it is crazy that such a thing would even be proposed.
According to Rockland County Executive Ed Day:
“Every action we have taken since the beginning of this outbreak has been designed to maximize vaccinations and minimize exposures. We are taking the next step in that endeavor today,”…”This is an opportunity for everyone in our community to do the right thing for their neighbors and come together. We must do everything in our power to end this outbreak and protect the health of those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons and that of children too young to be vaccinated.” –Ed Day Rockland County Executive
Social Media Giants Push for Vaccine Censorship
Instagram, Facebook and YouTube are continuing to crack down on any information which counters the pro-vaccine push. And in Late 2018 Pinterest banned all searches for vaccine information.
Some Groups are Taking a Stand Against Vaccine Censorship
Fortunately, some groups are standing up against the censorship that the informed vaccination movement is facing. One of these groups, the American Booksellers Association for Free Expression is standing up against books which are being banned for expressing concerns about vaccines.
