January 15th, 2020- Trump announces the enactment of National Religious Freedom Day.
President Donald J. Trump calls on America to be a campaign of religious freedom and releases a proclamation enacting National Religious Freedom to be held on January 17th.
In his proclamation President Trump calls back to Thomas Jefferson saying:
“Jefferson famously expounded that “all men shall be free to profess, and by argument to maintain, their opinions in matters of Religion, and that the same shall in no wise diminish, enlarge or affect their civil capacities.””
In the end of his proclamation Trump officially enacts his proclamation writing:
I”N WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fifteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-fourth.
Two days latter Trump enacted the Right to Pray bill, protecting prayer in public schools.
