Trump's 2019 UN Speech

September 24, 2019: Trump’s 2019 UN Speech.

In a speech to the United Nations Trump, for the second year in a row delivered remarks in which he rejected globalism, and embraced patriotism. Saying:

Trump’s 2019 UN Speech Summary

Trump appealed to his fellow speakers, and the many that have stood before them in that very same room, making references to the many global changes which had been previously made from the same podium at which he stood.

Globalism vs. Patriotism

In his UN address he spoke on the contradicting differences between globalist ideals and national values.

Calling out Trump said…

“The divide between those whose thirst for control, deludes them into thinking they are destined to role over others. And those people, and nations who want only to rule themselves.”

-President Donald J. Trump

He continued by saying that America is “A nation the prizes liberty, independence and self government over all.”

His speech continued with the following remarks, as he called out all nations to hold their national identities near.

“If you want freedom, take pride in your country, if you want democracy, hold on to your sovereignty, and if you want peace, love your nation. “

-President Donald J. Trump

Trump Calls Out Global Leaders to Respect Their People’s Needs

He even calls out corrupt leaders, who place their own desires to rule over their own peoples needs saying the following…

“Wise leaders always put the good of their own people, and their own country first”

-President Donald J. Trump

He then added these remarks

“The Future Does Not Belong to Globalists—It Belongs to Patriots”

-President Donald J. Trump

and he continued

The future belongs to sovereign and independent nations who protect their citizens, respect their neighbors, and honor the differences that make each country special and unique.

-President Donald J. Trump

These Same Remarks Reflect Trump’s 2018 Address

Here’s the deal, Trump’s 2019 UN Speech is not the first time that President Trump has made such remarks.

This speech comes in one year after a similar speech to the UN, that Trump gave last year. At 2018 UN Speech, the crowd laughed at Trump when he mentioned how well he was doing as president.

But he took the laughter in stride, and continued to deliver a speech in which he rejected globalism and embraced patriotism. And one year later made similar statements at the same podium. In my opinion, this time they were more thought out, and orated.

Though the speech flew under the radar, it is good to hear that this is what the President is saying. Whether or not he follows through, only time will tell!
